In 2012 we saw long lines at the polls, registration forms discarded, as well as deceptive calls and mailings in over a dozen states. We can do better. We have to get this right.
The FAST Voting Act will make it easier for citizens to exercise their fundamental right -- the right to vote.

The Fair, Accurate, Secure & Timely Voting Act
The FAST Voting Act creates a modest competitive states grant program to encourage innovation and electoral reform that will make voting more fair, accurate, secure and timely. The FAST Voting Act incentivizes states to:
- Encourage same-day registration, early voting and no-excuse absentee voting.
- Provide better access to vote for servicemembers, those with disabilities, and voters who don't speak English as a primary language.
- Initiate regular, formal training of election officials.
- Audit the poorest performing polling stations and develop solutions to reduce waiting times.
- Formulate plans in case of natural disaster or catastrophe.
